Youngest Child FAQ List

So I am a youngest child, and I have two siblings who are in college. You would not believe how many questions are repeated asking about being the youngest of three. It's almost as if somewhere in human instinct, there is something about asking youngest children these few questions.
Today, I'm going to answer some of those questions so that, maybe people will stop asking them, because it's getting a little bit redundant.

Q: Do you miss your siblings?

A: I would normally say yes because if I were to say no, I would have to explain way. My honest answer is no. Not that I don't like my siblings, but I just talk to them often enough, that I just don't miss them. After the first week of not having another kid in the house, you really don't notice anymore.
Another note: I think it's kind of beneficial for me to have siblings in college, because it makes it easier to say goodbye to them. I don't mean to sound really sad, but it is true. Dropping them off somewhere, saying goodbye, and leaving is not an uncommon thing anymore. My brother just came home for the summer, but had to travel to So Cal. When we dropped him off, I would have usually been really sad to see him go, but now it's not really that emotional anymore.

Q: What are your siblings' majors?

A: Ummmmmmm.....Hmmm. I don't know. MOMMY! WHAT ARE THEIR MAJORS AGAIN???
Like seriously, I really don't keep track of it. I think I heard it somewhere, but it went in one ear and out the other.

Q: When are your siblings coming home?

A: Uhhhhhhh. I don't know. Summer maybe? My dad makes all the plans. After they ask this, they almost interrogate me to see if they can be a part of some church event. Mergh.

Q: So do you get lonely at home without other kids at home?

A: I would get lonely if I didn't have parents around. I honestly think that my parents are good company. Despite this, I do get a little lonely, but that is quickly resolved at school, where I see my friends.

Q: Do you get all the attention at home?

A: No. In fact, I think I get less attention. My mom now has a job, and of course, my dad works, so I am often alone for many days a week. Also, with my siblings living at least 40 minutes away, my mom is always worrying about them or talking to them. So if I don't get less attention, I at most get the same amount of attention.

Q: Oh, you're the youngest. You must be the most spoiled one.

A: I don't deny that I am not spoiled, but I don't think that I am more spoiled than my other two siblings.

And I thought I would put a little bonus thingy in here where I explain the Never Asked Questions (NAQ) of youngest children.

Q: So are you the oldest?

Q: What's it like being the youngest?

Q: Do you wish you had a younger sibling?

That is it!
